Women

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Proverbs 31:25

We meet monthly for fun, fellowship, learning, and outreach. Our meetings are designed to help each woman grow in godliness as we embrace the word of God. Our meetings are usually monthly on Saturday mornings and include breakfast, an inspiring message, and fellowship. Babysitting is available. Other events include Bible studies, Women’s book club,  district retreats and district-wide events with dynamic speakers. We build unity through shared times of laughter, learning, caring, and prayer.

Be Mature: Growing up in Christ - The book of James

Perhaps of all the books in the New Testament, James' approach to spiritual maturity, his preference for action over words, makes his text the perfect backdrop for a study of how to grow in our faith.
Beloved author and teacher Warren Wiersbe leads you through this practical book with advice on how to overcome temptation, control the tongue, pray effectively, and practice what the Bible teaches. If you're going to make progress in these areas, you will need a growing faith and dependence on Christ because, as James claims, "Every good and perfect gift is from above."
Ladies, would you like to know what it is to 'Be Mature' in our faith?
Please join us as we learn together to grow in Christ and become mature believers.
Tuesday mornings beginning October 8, 2024.
9:30 am- 11:30 am in the chapel and via Zoom.

Women's Bible study special Thanksgiving message

Grateful Worship in a Grumpy World
Mark 14:3-9 - speaker Nate Heitzig

November 19, 2024 at 9:30 am

A special Thanksgiving message

Thanksgiving is not just about the things and the meal. For us, it is all about Jesus! As Christians, we have the most to be thankful for because of who Jesus Christ is and what he has done for us. Our gratitude to God is a simple gift that we give back to Him; it is not easy, yet it should be a daily practice. As we fix our eyes, heart, and mind on Him and give of ourselves to Him, it might look foolish to the world or wasteful, but to God it is a sweetsmelling aroma. Like Mary’s extravagant offering of spikenard, we should be the most prolific to give our best and thank God for all He has already given us.

A heart warming tale of redemptive grace and the spirit of Christmas

Sarah's Song by Karen Kingsbury

Next virtual meeting via zoom - December 5 at 7:30 pm

Every year, Sarah Lindeman celebrates Christmas the same way: placing one special ornament on her tiny tree on each of the twelve days of Christmas.
It is her time to remember where she came from, who she is today, and how, long ago, a song gave her another chance at love. But this year the ritual is different.
This year, a desperate young woman is listening—a nurse who cares for Sarah at the Greer Retirement Village. Sarah senses a familiar struggle in the woman’s soul and shares the story of her song in the hope that it will help her find healing, too, as it did Sarah so long ago.

The book is available in the Monmouth Worship Center's library
